Summary
A missionary couple's 70-year journey brought the word of God to a tribe without a written language.
Synopsis
Immediately after graduating college, Lambert and Doris were married and on their way to train as Wycliffe bible translators. In 1955, they met the Ticunas, a notoriously violent indigenous tribe living along the Amazon River. Lambert hailed from Wisconsin, and grew up on a farm -- he hoped to meet a people whose language would be relatively easy to learn and translate. What he and Doris got was one of the most complex languages, and a bond that formed over years with a people who became like family. It took 70 years to translate the complete bible into their language, but in that time, lives were transformed, lost, and saved, and a formerly isolated group became a united people who love Jesus.
Goal
The primary goal of this documentary is to celebrate what God has done with 70 years (and counting) of faithful mission work through the Andersons, and others who have helped them. The documentary will also strive to inspire Christians everywhere to get involved in spreading the gospel and supporting missionaries already doing this work.
